Psalm 101
2 Corinthians 6:17 - Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate,
saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
Separation is a popular theme among fundamentalists and evangelicals. But just
what is Biblical Separation? I thing we find the answer in Psalm 101.
BIBLICAL SEPARATION REQUIRES DEVOTION - Vs. 1
Our devotion is to be to God. A person can not be truly devoted to God unless he
or she has trusted Christ as Savior (John 14:6).
BIBLICAL SEPARATION REQUIRES DECISION - Vs. 2-3
We must decide to behave wisely.
We must decide to walk with a perfect heart.
We must discern what wicked things to avoid.
BIBLICAL SEPARATION REQUIRES DISCERNMENT - Vss. 4-8
We must determine what people with whom we can have fellowship based on whether
the person be wicked or righteous.
