WHY I LEFT ROMANISM:


If a seeking Romanist would come and ask me whay I left Romanism, I would (firmly but as lovely as I could) tell him that I left Romanism because:

1. The Roman Catholic Chruch teaches that PETER IS THE ROCK while the Bible teaches ... Mat 16:18 + 1Ped 2:4-6

2. The RCC teaches that the PRIESTS ARE [necessary] MEDIATORS, while the Bible teaches ... 1Tm 2:5

3. The RCC teaches BAPTISMAL REGENERATION, while the Bible teaches ... Luk 23:42,43; Acts 8:36-38

4. The RCC teaches MARIOLATRY, while the Bible teaches ... Luk 1:47 Acts 4:12

5. The RCC teaches IDOLATRY, while the Bible teaches ... Exo 20:4

6. And this is the most important point, it must be presented even if shortness of time or other things forces us to skip all the other points:

I left Romanism because
the RCC teaches SALVATION BY WORKS and never could satisfy my soul, while the Bible teaches ... Isa 64:6; Joh 3:3,5; Gal 2:16; Eph 2:8-9; James 2:10

I would close presenting him God's wonderful plan of salvation by grace only, through faith only, on Christ only, salvation free and sure.
